DECEMBER 9

We have been lucky enough to be able to travel to some interesting places.  Along the way we picked up ornaments that typified the region or spoke to us in some way.  The three that I am showcasing today are from islands. The first is from Aruba and is hand carved in a shell and made by local artisans.  Very cool and very intricate.  The second ornament contains pink sand from Bermuda and the third is from Hawaii.  It is supposed to be the unofficial state fish - the humuhumunukunukuapua'a.  It is pronounced humu - humu- nuku- nuku - a -pu - a- a.
